My name is Lisa Roy and I am the founder Lanarkshire Boss Mums Network. I live in Strathaven with my partner David, my 9 year old daughter, 3 horses and our Labrador Alice. I was a nurse lecturer and PhD student when my daughter was just young and I came to realise one day that I wanted more freedom, I wanted to choose my working hours and I wanted to take my daughter to and from school. So I quit and very quickly had to learn how to run a business and make money to pay my bills.
In June of 2024, I noticed a growing need for a dedicated networking group for mums in Lanarkshire. Meetings that are child friendly, not super early in the morning and that are supported by women who understand the challenges to running a business while raising a family. I am fully committed to this venture because I believe in supporting mums in business to create lives filled with freedom and joy alongside their families.
Lanarkshire Boss Mums is fast becoming the network to be part of for mums in business.
I also mentor mums who want to set up their own business with my business advisory service helping ambitious mums turn ideas into a thriving business.
